Isn't the core argument of the whole troon revisions that they don't affect "you?" Well, this proves that's a lie, doesn't it? We've got creeps getting their creep on, and now people are being affected by troon delusions in something as simple (and vital) as blood donation procedures.

You think that's bad, imagine hooking up with a spicy straight/non-binary person, they claim "I felt like a man during one second of it" and thus you have to tick you had sex with a man and can't donate forever.

That's one of those things that make you sound crazy to people not tuned in, but is genuinely how it works now. Men don't have to put down that they had sex with another man, so long as that man was identifying as a woman

Exactly. The real idea is to change the "if you're a gay man you can't donate blood" thing to something more reasonable, but they change it like this.

Fine. Make sure you tell the person they're "stunning and brave" as they die from loss of blood, because you weeded out a doctor, who may or may not have been a transphobe, for believing in the outrageous lie that biological men can't get pregnant.

I uh. So gays can't give blood but trannies, who are usually full of outside hormones, can?

There are bans on people on injectable HRT and various other drugs. Presumably a Troon would be blocked from giving blood if they were taking hormones other than tablets or patches.

Edit:

It is apparently case-by-case

That policy isn't even internally consistent. It's based on the 1980s AIDS epidemic before anyone knew what HIV was given the fact that buttsex can increase the chances of passing on the virus. Gays who don't have sex are still turned away even though all the blood is tested for HIV and they also don't care about straight people who do buttstuff.

A male GP was prevented from donating blood to the Scottish NHS because he refused to sign a form saying he was not pregnant.

Dr Steffen McAndrew, 41, booked an appointment at a blood donation centre in Ayr on Tuesday evening.

However, he was told by a nurse he could not continue unless he confirmed he was not carrying a child.

'I can't believe they would refuse a donation from a man based on the fact I refused to say if I was pregnant,' he told the Herald.

'I just wish basic common sense could be applied in these situations. A man can't be pregnant.'

Dr McAndrew, who works at a surgery in Prestwick, said he did not want to answer the pregnancy question because he refused to 'placate the gender brigade'.

'I can understand those who have suggested, ''just tick the box'', to enable a donation. However it is the principle of the matter.'

The GP said the question on the form had been marked as mandatory, meaning anyone who did not answer it would not be allowed to donate.

As recently as March, the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service was urging people to donate to ensure supplies were not depleted.

A spokeswoman for the SNBTS said it had been asking potential blood donors if they were pregnant since April last year 'for donor safety'.

'Giving blood may be harmful for individuals who are pregnant, or who have been pregnant recently,' she said.

'We appreciate that for many donors (including some female donors such as post menopausal donors) this question will not be relevant.'

Well realistically he could be a well-passing FTM with roids coursing through his veins, in which case we wouldn't want his blood. You can change your identification documents so easily in Scotland that just because you think you see a man in front of you and the ID says "M", it doesn't mean the person is really a man.

Refusing to answer the question is silly. The question only exists because trannies are so much more common now. If the NHS didn't ask that to everyone, trannies would slip through the cracks and waste the time and resources it would take to test their blood which would be wasted if he was a tranny who was or has ever been pregnant.

He sounds like he's just personally offended at the suggestion that he could be a tranny.

It would be ideal if transition ended, but they're already here and we're forced to deal with them by asking certain questions which are actually of medical importance. Pretending that roided-up trannies who are or have been pregnant don't go donate blood and check the "male" box, and then feeling personally offended at the questions medical professionals are forced to ask to deal with this is retarded.

No, you can’t, you need a medical diagnosis and several years of social transition. The Scottish government tried to change the law to liberalise the rules including “self ID” and that got heavily stomped on by Westminster who refused it Royal Assent, and now the Scottish government is planning on bringing a legal challenge to the veto but they’ll almost certainly lose because the Scotland Act specifically allows Westminster to veto any law that would have effects outside Scotland and this would trample on the equality legislation across the UK.

Guess I had it confused with England.

Still, the fact that trannies there are more likely to pass well supports my point.

Still wrong. The rules in England and Scotland are currently the same.

Westminster has dropped Self-ID and it’s unlikely to be brought up by the next government after what happened in Scotland with the trans rapist saga that had a hand in bringing down the First Minister.

Westminster = UK government

Scotland, Wales and Sometimes Northern Ireland have their own parliaments that are restricted to issues that only affect those countries. England didn’t get its own parliament so has to rely on Westminster doing it, even though it’s not really fair that MPs from Scotland etc get votes on English matters.

Damn getting schooled today. I still stand by my point that trannies make these questions important.

Is the question is he pregnant now or if he's ever been pregnant, because I think it's the former. It's genuinely essential that men are recorded as men when they need blood and that women how have ever been pregnant disclose that fact. Blood from women who have been pregnant can be very, very dangerous for men. And this bullshit is putting lives in danger.

I'm so old I can remember when the queer community were saying "just give us our rights" and now the Hungry SJW phrase is "bow down to our religion you hater bigot".

Is that a baby or a beer gut?

"Hmm well I identify as pregnant I guess."

"Is it a pilsner or an ale?"

"How dare you assume the binary knave! How dare you".
