The thing you need to realize about the Daily Mail's editorial standards is that they don't have any. Reasonable people can disagree on whether this is a good thing or a bad one, but considering how bad other newspapers have got, I'm inclined to think it's good.

They do in the print edition, the online edition seems to be written by a bunch of illiterate 9 year olds who spend their time scouring Reddit, Facebook, mumsnet, TikTok and twitter for stories to crib.

You can often see clearly how they have taken a thesaurus to an article from the NYPost, The Sun or The Mirror. It’s all about clicks online.

Fair enough. Being American my experience is only with the online version.
