Definitely doing their damnedest to distance themselves from the mental illness stigma.

So feminine. Much dainty. Very ladylike. Wow.

It is ironic how aggressive troons are considering that kind of agression is a very masculine trait. But I don't expect mentally ill men with a paraphilia for wearing women's clothing to understand nuance. IT'S MA'AM!!!

"Horror Author" a.k.a. the publisher needed diversity points so they published the first shitty tranny Tumblr fanfiction they could find.

Lionel Shriver has been writing about how captured publishing has become for some time now, so I am going to agree with you.

Also looking at the Amazon page for this troon’s book, the review pull-quotes are from exactly the people you would expect.

If they all had one throat, man.

Yet they all have individual throats.

Just like all of you have individual male genitalia.

That's one ugly man.

This is the weirdo with an unhealthy obsession with Jesse Singal

[–]dramasexual 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

the weirdo?

[–]Datachost 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

One of them. A particularly weird one, constantly fantasising about him being assaulted and walking in on him masturbating

lol post apocalyptic novel about trans people. its three pages long and all the characters shoot themselves.

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

You know. I actually think a post apocalyptic novel about trans people might unironicially be interesting. Society totally collapses and any sort of "gender norms" are totally pointless concept. How does one seek attention and validation without the internet? What happens when the stunningly individual can't get their meds anymore? What happens when their surgery goes septic and kills them? How do the trans people defend themselves against the "TERFS" who can now with the absence of government or crime enforcement actually just misgender them if they want. What happens when nobody even gives enough of a fuck about the trans people and everyone just ignores them.

Very interesting concept. I think the mentally ill will have a very interesting apocalypse.

He lives in USA. This amusingly comes after some asshole had to apologize for calling her a nazi because said asshole lives in UK where he could be effectively ruined by her lawyers. So this guy is daring her to sue him.

Also he's advertising for his writing, which is smart if it's intentional.

Implying the REEEEEEEE crowd has money and won't just pirate it lol.

So many people are delusional about libel laws working differently in the US and UK.

If you outright lie about someone they work exactly the same.

[–]ClassroomPast6178 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

Yeah.

Not only that, the damages are actually restricted to actual financial damages arising from the reputational damage, there are no awards for punitive or emotional harm - that applies to all civil cases in England and Wales (Scotland and Northern Ireland may differ due to their separate legal systems).

If JK Rowling won, she might struggle to prove that she suffered any damages at all. However, the guy she was suing may have ended up bankrupted by having to pay his own and JKR’s legal fees. I am willing to bet she would engage some very, very, very expensive solicitors and almost certainly a KC with extensive experience in libel.

But that also ties to the big difference: In the US, there are awards for punitive and emotional harm, so if Rowling chooses to sue and it goes to an American court- which is also viable in this instance, she CAN sue for those things and make sure the person can't even find a penny on the ground without having to hand it to her...as well as the "they did threaten her life, which is also kind of a big criminal charge if they want it."

The process is the punishment

[–]catfishrising 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

No, that's not a mental illness, no xiree...

[–]The_Best_Yak_Ever 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Yep. That is the exact face I imagined with such a grotesque headline. Who would have ever guessed it would be an overweight, ugly, weak, dude in silly makeup? This guy has never thrown a punch in his life, but talks real big on Twitter… sooooo feminine…

[–]cant_even 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Another testimonial to the mental stability of troons.

[–]TiredTrenders 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Nothing more feminine than a man threatening to slit a woman's throat simply becuase she had the gall to say he, & every man like him, aren't women & never will be.

I wonder how he feels about bullshit bully trolls saying mean and hurtful things about fedoras. Next time they should think before they do trolling, if that's even possible.

[–]alladd 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

This sounds scary but I mean, come on, let's be real. This person lacks the energy and motivation to leave the house and stop masturbating long enough to even begin to plan something like this.

The reviews for his book are amazing though. It's utter trash 4chan /lit/ level revenge-rape-gore porn and actual literary publications who probably didn't bother to read a sentence are like bEsT bOoK eVeR

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yeah, agreed, this person is clearly not a real threat, my intention was more just to point out yet another example of the hypocrisy of their dogma of 'tolerance' and language policing.

[–]alladd 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They deleted the tweet but I'm sure if they hadn't and stuck to their guns the TRAs would be looking for ways to mark him as "not a real trans" and even actively misgender him as an imposter pervert. The book reviews might be harder to walk back since no one will be honest and say they didn't read it.
