The interesting thing for me is that it appears to have taken the Scottish government (and Labour, the Greens, the Libdems and even lots of tories) entirely by surprise that literally no one, bar them, the establishment hacks in the media and the TRAs, has accepted this. The unified stance against everyone trying to foist this on the public has been something to behold.

It’s like a million voices cried out at once “Oh hells no!”, and weren’t silenced.

The little boy has finally made his voice heard, “the king is fucking naked!”

“the king is fucking naked!”

The queen is a naked rapist of a man.

Of course. Ultimately it shows that as long as trans people are reasonable about the rights, people will live up to it. The line for most people was "no, you don't get to compete in sports against cis women" because it was obviously special treatment, and the "no, shut the fuck up" line was "no, we're not letting literal sex criminals enter women's prison just by saying the magic words, because we know a women's prison and its captive audience of women who they can, would, and have proven they'd be able to overpower would be rewarding rapists by sending them to their own personal heaven."

There's the other side of it too. Even if a transwoman wasn't a rapist they're still male and have male strength. You know what's needed to restrain male strength? More male guards. Sadly many guards take advantage of prisoners so realistically they're adding to rape even if it's indirect.
