In the Dark Ages they'd treat mental illness by boring holes into people's heads. These days we bore holes into people's groins. That's progress!

Unlike our unenlightened progenitors who were convinced in the ancient times that such behavior was caused by demons that needed to be exercised by a witch doctor, and later after realizing that such things were silly, in their ignorance decided to treat such issues scientifically by removing part of the brain through the nose with an ice pick. We now in are beyond such foolishness, and instead know the correct way to deal with this is due to a factory error of soul hardware mismatch which can be easily corrected via hormone replacement and surgical inversion of the genetalia with a failure rate of only 55% percent. Rejoice, we have put aside our foolish superstitions and dark age medical practices in order to follow the light of science!
