So, basically, she wants to be built (nothing wrong with that) and puts in the work for it (good for her), but she's afraid that she'll get weird looks if she is and wears girly-girl stuff that shows it? That sounds like she let a bunch of people who don't matter get into her head and fuck up her sense of self.

Also, the art isn't too shabby. I'm so accustomed to the visual horrors of Assigned Male or the legendary Toothpaste hair of the old TiA that seeing someone with actual ability is a shock.

I didn't get that impression. I'm fairly built for a woman and there was a time when I felt like I looked kind of weird in a sleeveless dress. Like if I was just wearing jeans and a vest, I didn't mind people seeing that my arms and shoulders are muscular. But in a dress, I felt like I was clashing somehow. It took a little time to adapt to how I look and then I got over it. My muscles are bigger than they were when I occasionally felt a bit self-conscious about them, but it was literally just a case of letting my self image of myself adapt to my actual image.

That's not what this woman is describing. I never felt like anything other than a woman (not that I go around day to day "feeling like a woman"). I don't think I look manly, a woman with natural musculature, looks like a woman with muscles, not a man. I gave little thought to my breasts other than ensuring I wear the correct support for the type of exercise I'm doing. I don't give a shit about who finds me attractive or not and I certainly don't let worry about who finds me attractive mess with my self identity.

Usually with genderspecials it's easy to realize what they actually want beneath all that newspeak, but this one... I've read this comic a couple of times, but i still have no idea. She dislikes her breasts but not enough to mutilate them (thankfully). She wants to be beefier, but partially because she doesn't want to look too feminine while wearing a dress. But at the same time she seemingly is fine with being feminine, because she doesn't want to look masculine or so androgynous that it would hurt her dating prospects. So basically this clip.

My guess is, this woman has some general body image/anxiety issues, and under different circumstances she would've been caught up in some other harmful fad like extreme dieting.

Yeah she's got talent for sure. I guess it's an honest expression of her thoughts but gd women be confused these days.

Nobody seems to be able to say fuck it I'm just myself, labels are for cans, which is weird because every cartoon since the 1980s have had that as their moral, along with most subcultures. Maybe that what she's trying to say, but it seems like gender is this huge thing for women that they obsess over as much as they used to obsess over being thin. It ekes its way into places...

She should have given herself nicer tits in the comic tho.

As in many instances when I encounter 'First-World Problems' I imagine this person teleported to downtown Mogadishu with whatever she's wearing at the moment, and nothing else. It should work wonders in focusing her attention on developing actual life-skills.

Good artist, working for the corporatocracy narrative - likely gets good money, support, and/or grants. Work for the man, sell your soul.

There's cunts and then there's dumb cunts. And then there's this chick.

Jesus christ... your poor fashion choices aren't nearly as important as you think they are dear.

So.... she wants to be androgynous?

All pointless academics until the lights go out. The parts were designed to fit a certain way, and no matter what damage you do to your body, it will respond the same old way once you're all hot and bothered.

It's OK. You can go to the gym and still be a woman. We promise.
