Except they'll totally forget that they ever admitted that as soon as they need a reason to. Remember, honesty of this sort is not part of their mindset, otherwise they wouldn't try it at all.

People need to remember- it's not that they have no consistency; on the contrary, their consistency is "what gives me a chance to complain and demand special treatment for being me today?"
