If you see something in a group chat that you don't like, here's an obvious solution: leave. If you can't take the heat, don't step into the kitchen. Why is that so hard for people to understand? Oh right, it's not about feelings. It's all about control. Makes sense.

The same is true of everything. But people seem to have this idea that they have a right to not be offended, and that that right supersedes everyone else’s right to speak freely. They’re enabling the tyrants CS Lewis warned about.

People who think they have a right to not be offended are among the biggest spoiled brats on the planet. They need to be publicly shamed until they cop onto themselves.
