You.... Think that people are not disturbed by how conveniently and easily animals are put down? There are people who think it's wrong, and that's why no-kill shelters and fosters exist. That's why animal sanctuaries exist.

Your proposal for euthanasia for humans is one step away from culling anyone deemed 'imperfect' or 'sickly'. It would be no different than the many practices of killing 'cursed' people in primitive societies. Slippery slope? Look at current year. It's all the slippery slope arguments coming true and more.

By mercy killings I mean like if someone is being eaten alive or stuck in a fire and can't be rescued, it shouldn't be against the law to kill them quickly so they at least don't suffer. Especially if they ask to be, which does happen. It's not for killing undesirables.
