As far as I'm concerned Doctor Who ended after Jenna Coleman left. She was the last companion that wasn't an obvious political insert.

After that, they dove in head first checking all the woke boxes with a ☑masculine female, ☑black ☑lesbian, named Bill wtf?

The show has been a woke dumpster fire since.

Chibnall is just a massive cunt. He utterly destroyed the Who canon and it looks like Davies is returning to finish the job, which is a shame because 17 years ago he did so much good, especially with the unbelievably good casting decisions.

Not a fan of Clara myself, I think she pales in comparison to Amy and Rory; Rose and Mickey and, of course, Donna. Donna’s character arc is particularly good, despite being played by an intensely annoying actress.

I couldn’t bear to watch past the first year of Capaldi’s Doctor, and what I saw was such a tragic waste of an amazing actor in the role. Followed the recent developments through coverage online, will never watch it again as far as I’m concerned it was cancelled when Matt Smith left.

Not a fan of Clara either but she was easy on the eyes, and I could at least watch her without suspecting that some blue-haired harpy with an alphabet agenda was behind her casting.

I really liked Clara in her first appearance as a Victorian nanny. They should have just kept her that way and let her be a Victorian nanny who becomes a companion. No mystery back story of Clara echoes following the Doctor through time, just a regular woman from a different era being a companion. And bringing an interesting different perspective to their adventures than the usual early twenty first century companion.

Little point having a character from anything other than current year as they must have the correct opinions and attitudes, so Victorian Clara would just have been C21 Clara with strained RP accent, long skirts and hat until the Doctor took her to a shopping mall and updated her fashion and she forgot all about her Victorian sensibilities and attitudes.
