This is why wokeness is often compared to a virus.
A virus invades a cell, takes over its machinery, and the cell stops doing what it was supposed to do. Instead, it makes more viruses. The cell then dies, bursting open to release the viruses to infect more cells.
Wokeness is the same. It infects institutions, takes over the machinery, and the institution stops doing what it was founded to do. Instead, it makes more wokeness.
A disease metaphor is perfectly appropriate.
