Learn how you can help make the world safer for trans people

But what if I don't want the world to be safer for trans people.

I think making the world safer for everyone is a good goal, that includes trans-people, and I think the best way to ensure their safety is institutionalization if they express suicidal ideations.

Threaten suicide if you don't get your way? Straight to involuntary psych hold (with suicide watch) for 72 hours, do not pass "GO," do not collect 200 Oppression Points!

Exactly. I don't want people to kill themselves it's horrible. So if they threaten to do so the most compassionate thing to do is to put them somewhere where they can't harm themselves.

I don't know if the threat is legitimate or a form of emotional terrorism but it doesn't really matter. Ultimately assuming that the threat is legitimate and institutionalizing them is the proper way to deal with it. If they are emotional terrorists they don't get their way and get their freedom restricted. If they are legitamately disturbed they get the help they need.

As much as I'd like to simply call the bluff of the emotional terrorists and watch their realization of how utterly stupid their strategy is if nobody actually gives a shit if they kill themselves, the stakes are too high.
