    In defense, this does notice that "if kids are going to go after porn, they're not going to start with the rough, extreme professional porn people claim they will OR the consent-heavy, happy, queer/non-white porn that woke people claim. It's going to be "their favorite kids' show characters naked", with an outside chance of the big-boobed '80s/'90s porno queen types.

    So, porn of kids' show characters IS a pretty common gateway into porn for kids.

    When you put it that way, that makes a lot of sense. It was common where I grew up for kids to be telling each other of websites where they can look at Pokemon/Digimon hentai pics, which in hindsight is really weird to think about, haha. Thanks for explaining!

    Exactly. Heck, in that interest if it's tame ecchi stuff it might even be "well, I wouldn't GIVE IT to kids, but I wouldn't exactly get mad at them if I saw them with it either" stuff [because if it is as simple as 'you have a crush on this cartoon character and want to see them naked', that's relatively normal children's curiosity and doesn't necessarily mean they'll become a pornsick coomer when they grow up- well, as long as the parents are reasonable and know how to parent their kids.]

    I don't think this should be a law or anything , but we really do need to get more aggressive about keeping it out of the hands of kids. Disney and others in the industry absolutely prey on the preferences of children. They spend untold millions doing market research to make the most appealing thing to any random child. What furry and Western cartoon porn do is co-opt the psychological juggernaut of these companies to make fuck pictures drawn with those principal appealing aspects still intact. It's an extremely easy road for unintentional child recruitment to these fetishes and fandoms , and we've seen that play out in real time.
