For Mao, the No. 1 enemy was the intellectual.

Professors were dressed in grotesque clothes and dunce caps, their faces smeared with ink. They were then forced to get down on all fours and bark like dogs. Some were beaten to death, some even eaten -- all for the promulgation of Maoism.

These are the things that brainwashed SJWs and related movements ignore. They are manipulated by these very types of communists. The whole objective of so-called "deconstruction" and "fighting opression" specially in the postmodernist POV is to simplify, merge and flatten society. Their use of illogic language/thinking is itself used against intellectuals (can't win a debate with illogical people), and prevents new ones (thinking logically is teached as being oppressive)

maoists would say those professors were intellectuals and trying to subvert china with radical disgusting western values, similar to what rightwing says.

I think you've got it backwards. The rightwing wants those Western values. The leftwing doesn't. That's why the rightwing wants US intellectuals to uphold Western values, and only dislikes those who rail against it. Again, the rightwing does not find Western values disgusting or subversive. They find leftist views subversive, whomever holds them.

and western values were trash in the 60s when mao did the cultural revolution too, free love etc
