Just a reminder that Stonetoss himself is on the far right so it's in his interest to make you think fascists are the good guys.

He often makes excellent points.

Everyone to the right of Mao Zedong gets called far right these days. Trotsky was called far right. As was Lin Biao.

I'm not saying he doesn't make good points.

Anyone can point at the sky and say it's blue no matter their other opinions.

However he is a racist which most people would consider far right (although it's hardly the preserve of the right).

Whaaa? So all the blacks attacking Asians are far right? Come on man, racism is hardly limited to the far right. Ask the Ashanti empire which openly sold slaves to anyone who stopped by with a ship.

[–]jet199 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Being black never stopped anyone being far right, that assumption would be racist.

Islamists are far right no matter how many leftists treat them like baby kittens.

As I say the left has it's own racism.

[–]Chipit 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Islamists are far right? WTF dude Islamism is widely accepted to sit outside our western right/left ideas on a third axis. It isn't even racist, in fact it's more globalist than anything.

[–]jet199 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Something being widely accepted doesn't make it true.

It also depends on how you define left and right, which varies.

They want to concentrate power. Their self-determination is for ethnicities, not for people. They want to replace capitalists with bureaucrats or aristocrats.

Who gets to decide people's ethnicity? Whether an ethnicity is real or just a branch? Which genes are approved and how many rare mutations make one impure?

Your utopia attacks real people in the name of some imaginary greater good. Like all other collectivist utopias.

jews decided to call themselves Jews and everyone else non-Jews

Some Jews wanted to abolish Jewishness. Nazis sent them to camps.

There is a global hidden system that keeps the Jews, Jews. It exists because they are useful. You're a part of it.

if some Swede wants to be Danish instead, then it doesn't matter

Until Swedish rulers need a new scapegoat. And since all Jews are expelled, someone has to take their place. Not necessary the immigrants, southern or ugly Swedes can do just fine.

        [–]Dragonerne 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (20 children)

The Swedish Royals are Jewish. Nice try.

        [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (19 children)

        You are Jewish. Nice try.

Their royals can be replaced, but ever-increasing decadence is natural for the ruling class. And no, it isn't caused by the existence of Jews. It happens in every big country irregardless of the number of Jews living in it.

        [–]Dragonerne 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (18 children)

None of that is true and even if it were, it doesn't justify jewish racism.

Difficult to imagine thinking that fascism is somehow in opposition to billionaires.

Fascism is just another tool by billionaires to maintain control.

And most communist systems use top-down fascism to accomplish the enforcement of their power structure, just look at Stalin or Mao or Pol-Pot.

This comic is interesting but has so many fallacies.

          [–]Dragonerne 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (6 children)

Are you mixing up authoritarian with fascism? Communist systems aren't fascist. They are communist.

          [–]magnora7 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

Fascism just means a high degree of authoritarianism based around nationalism, which is a feature of communism as well as dictatorships.

          [–]Dragonerne 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

No, fascism is an ideology like liberalism, communism, socialism and so on.

With your definition Monarchy is a fascist system...

          [–]magnora7 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Here is the dictionary definition of fascism:

          1. A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, a capitalist economy subject to stringent governmental controls, violent suppression of the opposition, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.

          2. A political philosophy or movement based on or advocating such a system of government.

So basically it is authoritarianism via nationalism. I would agree that Monarchy is fascist by the dictionary definition, especially if the power is kept mostly by military/police force. In effect, fascism is just a proxy word for the most common types of strong authoritarianism

          [–]Dragonerne 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (2 children)

Who wrote that definition? A jew?

Fascists are really known for their "capitalist economy"

Also, entertaining your definition, if Fascism as an ideology has aspects of authoritarianism it does not mean that other ideologies that also have aspects of authoritarianism are somehow fascist. They do not become fascist, but rather they become authoritarian.

          [–]magnora7 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yes authoritarian is the top-level umbrella, and fascism is a more narrow scope that is just certain types of authoritarianism.

a capitalist economy subject to stringent governmental controls

I would argue "subject to stringent governmental controls" means it's no longer really capitalism. Technically Venezuela is capitalism under that definition. But it's obviously not. So this part of the definition is basically meaningless and can be omitted imo

          [–]Dragonerne 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I would argue "subject to stringent governmental controls" means it's no longer really capitalism

Denmark has a capitalist economy subject to stringent governmental controls. I would argue that it is still capitalism and so would most danes.

But I agree with you that the definition from that dictionary is bad.

Yes authoritarian is the top-level umbrella, and fascism is a more narrow scope that is just certain types of authoritarianism.

Yes, I suppose that is one way to look at it. Communism is another more narrow scope that is just a certain type of authoritarianism. Communism doesn't suddenly become fascist just because they are both authoritarian. Many ideologies are authoritarian and that's why we have that word. Fascism is a type of authoritarianism and Communism is a type of authoritarianism.

Under fascism or socialism, money means nothing. Displease the party - lose everything.

Libertarians are extreme capitalists. Socialists want to cancel money. And yet.

Imagine believing you can destroy your best tool and keep winning through sheer superiority.

Under fascism or socialism, money means nothing.

That's a really interesting point, I'm going to have to grind on that one for a while. Nice comment

          I like Stonetoss.

          I don’t like Winston Churchill.

Hopefully not Churchill, but I don’t know what Stonetoss looks like.

I feel Churchill has the weight behind him but then Stonetoss is an American keyword warrior so could easily be 600lb or more.

It isn't Churchill. It's the "fat cat" US industrialist/lobbyist.

          Seems you responded to: https://saidit.net/s/SuperStraight/comments/7k4m/welcome_to_reality_superstraights/sff8

I thought the reference is to "Churchill" in the pic. It's the 1st reference to Churchill in this thread.

Churchill was in the military his whole life, and for much of his life he was perhaps heavier than Stonetoss. My money's on Churchill.

          [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Churchill is not in the image.

He is the typical image of a US Industrialist and Political lobbyist: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fat_cat_(term)#/media/File:The_Subsidised_Mineowner.jpg

          [–]RedEyedWarrior 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

That’s for that. The guy with the monocular just reminded me of Churchill.

          [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I think that image was also popularized by the game, Monopooly, which might be Stonetoss's source.

          [–]RedEyedWarrior 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That’s a good point. Corporations are fiercely backing the direction western civilisation is falling towards.
