Yes, your vote matters.

And if you're a dog, you can sign with an X, as long as you have a witness to sign.

No, my vote doesn't matter. I've been involved in local politics my entire life. I know how things work.

If our votes mattered, then our politicians would act with courage and honor. Votes don't matter. The amount of money in your wallet does. Quit being so damned impotent. You can't vote evil away, nor can you argue with it on the court floor. These methods have failed us.

There are other methods which have yet to fail, and people are turning back to those older, more reliable ways of defense.

What's that? An initial approach to mentioning a potential approach to a political solution? On Saidit?!? Alright then - if you are against democratic approaches, what's your plan? Have a dictator in mind? Anarchy? Do you have a plan that is part of a democracy and works with the democracy? I'm all ears (er. eyes).

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

I'm not against democratic approaches. The US has already proven that it has voter fraud, there are lawsuits every election concerning this. Usually nothing comes from these lawsuits, because they are trying to get some justice from the very bureaucrats who did the fraud in the first place.

We have talked about my personal views before. I believe that democratic clan-based monarchies are the future. Do you have a bad memory? We have talked about this.

The fact that you pretend we all just sit around with our thumbs up our butts, as if Saidit was just thedonald.... It pisses me off. I hate the left and right charade. I hate ethnic genocide and racial slavery. I hate economic slavery.

America is the New Rome. Many other countries are parts of this new Empire. You peddle shit solutions, like "put on a mask, trust Fauci, go vote (only blue, unless you're a mentally ill retard)"

Your solutions are Empire-approved. Good luck with that.

One of the reasons I at Saidit is to see what you and a few others think. (I obviously don't like the abuse, but whatever.) What I am not hearing from you are solutions, though I do appreciate that you can write several books on the problems. I am especially interested in what solutions Saiditors have in mind.

One user told me months ago about his interests in supporting the Green party, whilst he's in Canada, and whilst it can get sufficient seats to have an impact in that country. This seems reasonable.

You can't think outside of the box that's been given to you.

Every solution you'll consider is basically just an appeal to authority. You think the established structures will produce positive long-term change.

I believe in rebuilding families, cultural traditions, and ethnic unity through clan structure. Your mindset only offers companies and corporations.

I believe in voting directly for leaders who we know and interact with. They are family, and our homestead is ours to govern, as is right and proper. In your solutions, we still have broken families thrusting their hopes on a politician they've never met.

If society ever crumbles, you'll hope to live in a democratic clan based monarchy, rather than the tribalist dictatorship our politicians would try to corral us into.

Don't be a cow, or a raccoon. I am offering solutions.

OK - this is a start to an approach to solutions, though these are very broad generalities, if one is thinking about the reality of the democratic process. Certainly, vote for someone who appears to have these connections, but there's nothing new to this. In the South it's called the "old boy network", but it goes by many names. My responses to your points below.

I believe in rebuilding families

It's not clear here why families should be "rebuilt" and how one would "rebuild" a family

cultural traditions

It's not clear here which cultural tradition is at issue. If you refer to all US cultural traditions, there is also nothing new here.

and ethnic unity through clan structure

This is racism. Ethnicities naturally mix. If you want ethnic unity, you'll have to segregate ethnicities. It didn't work well in the US, Turkey and South Africa, and it's responsible for attrocities in China and Israel.

I believe in voting directly for leaders who we know and interact with. They are family

This might be possible in districts with low populations, but it's obviously not possible in most cities.

Ethnic unity does not equate to segregation. It means ethnicities uniting under the banner of shared genetic and cultural backgrounds, rather than with the products they consume.

Families are indeed broken in the West. I don't think many people who live in the US would disagree with me when I say that. You don't live in the US, Mr. Mogadishu.

Zero federal oversight is needed. All counties could be run by clans if the families were willing to step together again, rather than following their preferred politician or corporation.

Thanks for the clarification.

ethnicities uniting

This happens already for many ethnic groups, though there are also right-wing advocates of this who are much more serious about not mixing ethnicities, as if it were miscegenation. An important example - in New York City - are Jews who are hostile to their own marrying non-Jews. Many of them are also happy to send money to Israel specifically in support of illegal settlements, evictions, and genocide.

Families are indeed broken in the West

OK - for the break up of the "nuclear family" and the American Dream, there are important history texts that address this, which has developed since the time of Reagan, which was the beginning of the end of the single-income household (I lived through the transition). Now, several members of the family have part-time, insecure jobs in much of the US. Wages stagnated while the 1% got richer and the 99% got poorer (re. inflation). Who were the politicans and parties in power when this happened? (GOP, Reagan, Bush Sr, Bush Jr, Trump &c [& Clinton]). The solution is to vote for politicians who are in winning parties (hence electable) who are working for the 99%.

Zero federal oversight is needed. All counties could be run by clans if the families were willing to step together again, rather than following their preferred politician or corporation.

This has never happened and will never happen, because the corporations and the wealthier groups will step in and take over, as has happened numerous times in the past few hundred years. There are so many examples of this. And in the US, this would definitely not happen. You can also look at parts of the world where powerful non-governmental groups control certain regions (Mexico, Pakistan, Afghanistan, &c), and noting that there are essentially no human rights for anyone in those areas, even for those under the protection of the warlords. The small government and the deregulation arguments are used by corporations and bribed congresspeople to get people to let them control the US, and reap all of the profits, as they have done. Those small government arguments have developed since Reagan (and earlier). The solution is to limit the control of the corporations, regulate their abuses, and to elect politicians who can make this work (and if they don't, elect new politicians).
