Jesus also cast the spirits into the pigs, and then sent them into the sea.

You didn't have to kill those pigs.

Then there was the time that you cursed the fig tree, because it wouldn't bear fruit out of season.

These are both questionable decisions. Just saying...

It's called parables. They are parables meant to be taken figuratively. The bible is filled with parables and Jesus told his desciples he talked in parables. Though, the bible should also be taken literally for the most part. There's a mix of metaphorics, parables and literalism.
