I agree, but those same users often contribute articles that aren't political, that are good and worth having around. And "being too political" isn't a ban-worthy offense, and I don't think it should be either necessarily.

But I completely get what you're saying, and I find it a bit frustrating too. Not sure of the best way to address it rather than just asking people to post more of the types of content they would like to see, and use their votes like a tool that shapes the front page and thus the culture of this website. And we will continue to get rid of people who are regularly dragging discussion down the levels of the pyramid of debate. But I'm not sure how best we can address it being over-politicized, other than the community being active in the things they post and vote on.
