In the case of /s/WatchPeopleDie you can just disable NSFW in your preferences.

I have also unsubbed from /s/WatchPeopleDie , but it still shows in /new when I have NSFW enabled.

But i want nsfw, just not nsfl. :|

Unfortunately SaidIt doesn't have any way to distinguish between NSFW and NSFL. Just to be clear. you know SaidIt won't host any porn subs, right?

If only there were a way to manually select what to remove since the nsfw filter can't.

There is, but it involves anaesthetic-based amnesia therapy.

Gonna need more than 75 blunts a day to forget that Russian soldier.

RES for Saidit seems to break RES for Reddit (at least on FF) and I still frequent the non-political subs there.

Captured as a bug, that's a bad one.

This is kind of the intent of how we originally designed the subscription system. Everyone is subscribed to everything, then they just filter out the ones they don't like, similar to how RES does it. I guess it's not quite as fluid because there's no in-line unsubscribe buttons like there is on RES.

TIL, that's a cool approach.

IDK how doable it is here, but I think there is value both in that model (blacklist) and a whitelist model of subscriptions.

Would be cool if you could select to start from either extreme for your account.

Edit: Does it not apply to subs created after you join? I just had to subscribe to WPD manually.

We're also working on this, it's mostly done. When you create your account, you're subscribed to everything. But in your user preferences there is an 'unsubscribe from all' option. So you can build it in a blacklist/opt-out way or a whitelist/opt-in sort of way, whatever you prefer. It could probably be a little more streamlined and obvious though.

Actually, for some reason, my adblocker (uBlock origin) hides the unsubscribe buttons. Maybe this helps. Or did I get you wrong?

This has happened before, you're the 3rd to report this. Not sure why it happens. Thanks for the report though.

So I p layed around a bit and it seems to be a cosmetic filter applied by ublock origin. Here is a screenshot of the DOM inspector of ublocks logger.

I couldn't find out (or don't know how to read the screenshot XD) how the cosmetic filtering works exactly, but maybe this helps.

Thanks for the information! From a cursory glance it looks like the phrase "subscription-box" was flagged by it as being an ad, so it blocked out the buttons. /u/d3rr might find this interesting too. Thanks again.

Don't mention it. I'd love to see this community prosper and I'm happy to do my part.

I'd donate a buck to the code monkey who puts together a seddit RES-Android sync function. One can only dream.
