SaidIt sucked long before this.

Fuck magnora7, egotistical dictator of wasted potential, for which he doesn't deserve even half the credit for, not to mention this forum would be nothing without the users, of which most of the best have abandoned.

Haven't seen a said it canary for some time.

He may have a surveillance gag order, or similar.

Pushing people out may be his compassionate option.

If the thought police come for me, then they'll be surprised and dismayed to learn that I'm a [high] T-1000 cyborg from the future, on a free speech mission to save humanity.

Also it's illegal for the Fed's to spy on American nationals, and this T-1000 is programmed to wage LAWFARE.

Why so much benefit of the doubt for someone who's proven time and time again that only they must selfishly have complete control when they already own the pink slip, have neither a plan nor destination, and are not going anywhere?

When power is at issue, never believe incompetence when selfish and/or malicious intent will suffice.

You should know better.

To me, that's the charm of this site. There's no agenda, and the few people who do use the site come here despite the fact that it's half broken.

It reminds me of the old web 1.0. You have to clamber over the "under construction" gifs and the blink tags in order to mine some little nugget of silver (or coal maybe) out of it before you move on. Its increasingly shitty user experience forms a community that's very different from all the other sites that scream "we care about you" while using you as meat for their ad strategy. This site mumbles "I don't give a shit" while keeping itself open for a few dozen people to trade memes and complain. I feel at least this one is more honest, and that's enough to keep me coming back.

Plus, CloudFlare is keeping the brigaders from coming here to make their low effort attacks.

never believe incompetence when selfish and/or malicious intent will suffice. [says Carswell]

You/we don't have to "know better" in this case. Carswell's obviously wrong. We don't know specifically what m7's problem is.

Well, if we knew what the plan/intention was, it would give us a comfortable direction to follow. Silence can be telling of apathy or some hidden things in the works. Burnout is also on the table.

Yes and I suspect he's not thrilled with Saidit's decline (partially due to mismanagement, but also perhaps difficult users), making him less interested in it.

If he isn't able to actively help in the culture, then it turned into an experiment. Maybe it was a semi-failed project (that didn't end up like he envisioned by the actions of the users) and he keeps it alive hoping it will someday find its way. Guesses on my part.

Yes - as a semi-failed project, I suspect he appreciates it's still worth the investment because it still has potential, even if it loses most of its users. Its basic structure and long history can in due course potentially attract better consipiracy-minded users who are not welcome on most of Reddit. There is also new research on the impact of Rothschilds' associated network in global developments (and most recently the Sacklers hiding offshore wealth during the opioid trials) that could be more openly discussed at a place like Saidit among users who understood that material. Sadly, Saidit is lacking that level of critical mass, hence m7 is active elsewhere. I wonder when a new approach will be considered by the individuals who can turn the downward trend around. Other users have asked the same kind of question for the past 3 years.
