JavaScript is normal on the internet, it's front-end web display and functionality mostly. You can only disable so much before websites break completely. If you completely disabled it, that's on you. Use uBlock Origin to disable the unnecessary stuff, and then tinker more at your own risk.

Cookies are also extremely common and, at least temporarily, necessary to make sites work as different pages call back on each other. SaidIt is no exception, especially as a 2015/2016 reboot of Reddit. Try setting your cookies and temp files to save to RAM and purge when you close your browser, rather than not allowing them at all.
