"What annoys me the most - as a writer - is the use of they/them for singlular pronouns. Really pisses me off. Young whippersnappers changing hundreds of years of language. Who do they think they are? Really."

Do you not see the irony in this, socks? You are defending a man calling himself a woman, then act like a language purist on the "they/them" issue.

I mean...do you just not see the irony?

Sorry - not really.

I occasionally joke about the rapidly changing usage of language today, but I'd be the first to argue that language has always evolved.

For reasons similar to supporting a "free speech" website (that's nonetheless overrun with only one kind of speech), I also support the freedoms of others to follow their own path, and that they too could "say their truth" on Saidit. If they are not causing harm - to children, for example - I think it's none of our business how they run their lives, any more than it's my business how you run your life. Yes, I agree that there are problems whereby these unusual people occasionally try to influence others, and I would agree that this is wrong, as it runs counter to the reason for tolerating these unusual people in the first place.
