aside from the link at the end, this is very insightful. 2016 is a turning point for a lot of the left intellectuals. and imho a lot of them did not know how or what to think. youtuber second thought definitely started noticing politics at that point and now he's turned into a lefty youtuber (previously just a science and a car racing youtuber). a lot of the liberal students at a really prestigeous university near me have completely lost it, etc.

it's sad to see the left turned into that. there used to be true leftists like pete seeger, woodie guthrie, etc. a lot of the policies implemented in their era were leftist as well and they wrote a lot of great songs about it. now? sigh.
