Cheers. Well said. Reddit has such problems from the admin level to the subreddit moderator level. Just today I got banned from /r/democrats because I was talking negatively (but factually) about Hillary Clinton and the DNC. I simply left about 8 factual statements in a thread, and that was enough for them to permanently ban me from the entire /r/democrats sub, without any warning or recourse. In that moment, I also felt happy saidit exists. It's nice to hear other people like yourself are seeing reddit clearly for what it is, and appreciating the value of saidit. Thank you.

Jesus christ. And everyone wonders why the alt-right is so popular these days.

Yeah I was like "Really?" and then I remembered this is about the 50th time something like this has happened to me.

They really want a hugbox echochamber, and then are surprised when there is backlash to that.

Although in the end that's just another form of divide and conquer, and a way to make the conversation centered around the battling extremists on each side, rather than the ignored silent majority in the middle who can't get a say because the media machinery is typically in the hands of the extremists on one side or the other. It's sad but it's also very interesting that this form of manipulation is brand new on the internet and it's actually working in certain respects. I am glad saidit can be a place with a full-spectrum of ideologies to let the middle majority have their say too.
