Tried unsubscribing to a sub and still got it's threads in the front page.

Because your default front page is /all. You need to change it to /subscribed.

In the top-right, go to 'preferences'. And then change your front page to 'subscribed'.

And for extra measure you can reset your subscriptions on that same page, we just updated the default sub list with the best of the best but making sure you won't miss much high-quality content, so maybe give it a try.

I think maybe it's getting too complicated. You know the system backwards and forwards so it's obvious to you, but not to everyone else. It's a bit much to ask people to fiddle with their settings, most people set it once and forget about it.

It's actually much simpler the way it is now, there's only 2 options instead of 3. You can not change your settings if you wish, it's fine. We've tried to accommodate everyone during this changeover
