The FBI and even smaller law enforcement agencies have repeatedly been exposed to be buying, using, and not disclosing use of mass surveillance data from telecoms, car tech like OnStar/SiriusXM, and larger web tech companies for decades with no one bother to really address it.

It's the literal standard. These are private companies ordered to retain user records, then, because they are private, willing share your info with the gov. Even without any warrant/legal process. Some companies charge a fee for access to the private data records of multiple companies at once. 4th amendment loophole.

And if the companies don't keep the records, they get shut down and/or criminally charged.

it’s next to impossible to really address even if you wanted to. that’s how absolute corruption works dude. how do you out the people that control the mainstream media to ppl who religiously (and exclusively) trust mainstream media?
