On reddit, a kid made a post about child being rape by teacher or something at his school, asking for what could be done about it. I probably was the only one who said that the only person responsible for your own security is yourself.
Yeah this is maybe true for adults Jo, but young children can't be reasonably expected to secure themselves against adults.

Should we teach children to defend themselves? Yes absolutely, I agree we should, but I still think we ought to do our best to protect them due the fact that as you say, they can't defend themselves as well as an adult, especially if very young.
