I’m in the middle of watching this again for the second time and I swear this is the best freestyle I’ve ever seen from any rapper or hip-hip artist period, and that’s ironic considering most would classify Juice somewhere under mumble/SoundCloud/meladoic/hype rap rather than lyrical hip-hip or a lyrical artist.

He literally went an hour straight off the dome rhyming and making sense, never repeating himself, and he’d feel each songs melody and timing out before he started spitting (I think this is where his melodic side came in handy), and he wouldn’t just freestyle - he’d compose a whole song there on the spot with multiple choruses and everything he’d return to that paid homage to Eminem and the original song he was rapping over too.

He was insanely talented, it’s a shame. Idk any other rapper I could name that could do this, not even Kanye and he’s probably my favorite despite not being the most lyrically gifted.

Edit: also, cool but of info; Eminem saw both of these freestyle sessions by Juice as Tim Westwood sent them to Eminem himself after they happened. Eminem gained a lot of respect for Juice after this, when em is notorious for hating the new school of rappers. This is probably the one artist of the new generation that’s both melodic, lyrical and popular that Eminem endorsed.

He was planning on working on a song with juice, and it was in the works because of this freestyle, but juice was tapering off of both pain killers and Benzos and had a seizure at the airport and passed away.

This was the song they were working on and em released it right after juice’s passing as one of his first new releases out of respect: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_0JjYUe5jo
