Agreed.

Most (can't think of an exception) empires will take from other nations if they're powerful enough.

Objectively, China is decades from being a threat to the US mainland.

I'm a US citizen, so US actions are my responsibility. China's actions are not.

We're all world citizens, and I try to view things in that light. Nevertheless, there's a special kind of embarrassment and shame when your native country behaves poorly.
