I've gotten tens of thousands from karmawhoring in big subs. Power users get like 200k per day but that doesn't count since they cheat.

A single massively-upvoted post will get you thousands of karma. Unfortunately power mods will usually remove it so only their posts get any attention, and reddit itself ranks their posts higher automatically, so that makes it very difficult for anyone else. But if you know the kind of stuff a huge sub likes you'll get a few hits.
