Does not change the fact that you refer to women as pussy. You got issues.

And sorry about that, English is only my 4th language. I'm sure you understand that with a fourth language the grammar can be a bit off right Candy? :)

No? "Pussy worshipper" refers to someone who worships "pussy" or vulva as the source of their "meaning". The "pussy" in it doesn't refer to the word "woman", but the area* itself. And when someone calls you out on being a "pussy worshipper", they mean you do anything for the area* called "pussy", that you're the one with issues. There are better things out there that can provide you with "meaning" and "pleasure". Your existence shouldn't revolve around "pussy".

English is my third language. I still try so my grammar is not off Coffee :)

Understandable you may have issues with the English grammar. All languages are difficult in their own way.

The fact that use this as an insult means exactly that. Pussy is a disrespectful word for vagina and a word also used to mean women in a degoratory way.

Also the vulva is not an organ. As a "woman" you should know that.

No woman with self respect would actually use such a term especially to insult other women. You want to talk like a misogynist man, go right ahead. You probably are one pretending to be a woman on the internet.

[–]CandyUwU 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (11 children)

Sigh. I'm so late to this nonsense.

Vulva is the outer area of the genitals that includes the organs of labia and clitoris. We're not in a science class. Why do you care that I call it an organ, not an area consisting of a few organs?

Many women don't even know where their clitoris is. Not that it has any effect on their womanhood.

I don't become "not a woman" for calling vulva an organ, and not an area.

No woman with self respect would actually use such a term especially to insult other women

There's such a thing called reclaiming words. Look it up. I'm reclaiming "pussy". It may have been a pejorative, but is being brought back into acceptable usage.

Black people calling each other the N word is considered brave, not "internalized racism". Reclaiming "pussy" is no different, and can not be "internalized misogyny". You don't get to stop women from reclaiming "pussy".

You probably are one pretending to be a woman on the internet.

Are you a man or a woman? Who do you think you are to speak on behalf of women if you're not a woman?

If you're a man, do you have proof? If you're a woman, do you have proof? Photos would be nice. Unless you want me to take you at your word that you're a man or a woman, in which case it would be hypocritical to not take me at my word when I tell you I'm a woman.

u/Vulptex

I'm not sure how you deal with u/NeedMoreCoffee without losing it.

Your patience is admirable.

I'm a male in this world in a very dimorphic species, I have to have extreme patience.

If you are going to be an arrogant grammar nazi and pretend it makes you smarter and better than someone, you better make sure you don't say incredibly stupid shit afterwards.

And I care because i'm not like a lot of people here who are in the habit of misrepresenting reality and manipulating stats and language to suit their own agenda. I like facts, data and correct definitions.

There's such a thing called reclaiming words. Look it up. I'm reclaiming "pussy". It may have been a pejorative, but is being brought back into acceptable usage.

Not only is reclaiming words incredibly stupid and pointless, because you are just giving assholes free reign in using it, but you don't have the right to reclaim words in name of half the population.

You want to say pussy? You will be judged and looked down at by women , deal with it.

[–]CandyUwU 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (7 children)

incredibly stupid shit afterwards.

I've already corrected the wording in the comment.

But if replacing "area" with "organ" gets your knickers in a twist, you need therapy. You want to play this word game? I'll play the word game.

Definition of organ: a part of an organism which is typically self-contained and has a specific vital function.

Vulva serves a function and is self-contained. Technically, it is an organ. To take it further, vulva consists of multiple organs. It is "organs", in plural. Not "organ". There. Oh, and here's a woman, a doctor, calling vulva "organs": https://www.news-medical.net/health/What-is-the-Vulva.aspx

The vulva is the external genital organs ...

Apparently, "that's not a woman, a woman should know better uwu"? Of course not. Get off your high horse.

If you are going to be an arrogant grammar nazi and pretend it makes you smarter and better than someone

You were the one who first told me to "eat a bowl of alphabet soup, you might actually learn something".

My "eat a grammar manual" was to counter that.

Not only is reclaiming words incredibly stupid and pointless, because you are just giving assholes free reign in using it, but you don't have the right to reclaim words in name of half the population.

No word is inherently "bad", "offensive" or "derogatory". If I see the word "pussy" as a positive or neutral word, then it is a positive or neutral word.

Not to mention language changes and evolves, usually to the point that the new meaning of a word would be radically different from the original usage.

Take the word "fun". Fun was first a verb meaning "to cheat". It came from fon, an old word for "fool". It retains some of that sense in "make fun of", but now also means "a good time".

Your "reclaiming words is stupid" goes against the evolution of language. One day, the word "pussy" would stop being derogatory, just like other words stopped having "negative" connotations.

I'm not waiting 10 years for that to happen. I'm doing that now, reclaiming the word and giving it a positive connotation, because frankly, I do not get offended when someone calls me a "pussy". Doesn't matter if it's an insult. I wouldn't feel insulted by the word.

You know what's incredibly stupid and pointless? You telling us women what we should be offended by.

You want to say pussy? You will be judged and looked down at by women , deal with it.

I would like to hear from other women.

Are you a woman? No? Then zip it.

I'll bite. The p-word is gross. It's not allowed in my household. Period. It's worse than "cunt" for me, and I use that one willy nilly. The p-word honestly sounds like pedo terminology. There's something that hits a red flag in my wiring when I hear others use it, and it illicits an inward cringe of disgust.

[–]Airbus320 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

But they use it on American rap music so much!

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Calling women everything but a walking cum sock is totes empowering, evidently.

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

This exactly. It's so creepy.

[–]CandyUwU 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Why should I find it creepy when I don't?

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

If someone calls you a pussy you should be offended as fuck as a woman, because not only are they calling you a coward by using a derogatory slur for women's anatomy, it also implies that being a woman is an insult because they see women as less than a man.

If you are born with a penis you're not a woman and never will be. I am a woman.

[–]CandyUwU 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I'm not born with a penis. I know "trans women" are men and "trans men" are women. You don't need to teach me biology 101.

Do you understand that words are not inherently "derogatory"?

If you don't see a word as something negative, it stops being "offensive".

I'm a lesbian. Sometimes people use the word "gay" as an insult. "Omg that's so gay", by which they mean "it's weird" and "it's gross". Does that mean I shouldn't use the word gay? No. I reclaim it. Are black people "stupid" for reclaiming the N word? No. It's racist of you to think their reclaiming of the word is "stupid".

Words that describe us, and our anatomy should not have negative connotations.

"Pussy" refers to our anatomy. Why do you allow people to use it as a slur? To define it as "coward"? All you're doing is send the misogynistic message you want to avoid. Give the word a positive connotation. Be brave enough so the word does not break you, and stop feeling offended. That's what TQ+ do, always feeling offended. I've met TQ+ that think the word "woman" is offensive. That's what you sound like. Are you going to stop using the word "woman"? I hope not.
