Often TRAs will use "homophobia" to mean "transphobia" when the latter won't score rhetorical points. For example, r/TiA is more-or-less gay friendly but pretty anti-TRA, and there is currently some guy on r/AHS trying to get people riled up about "homophiobia" on r/TiA.
