/r/chapotraphouse created their own Reddit clone called Hexbear after they got banned. It's falling apart, half their devs and mods quit last night in disgust. Posters immediately assume a lack of good faith and jump immediately to the worst mindset possible in the person they’re debating with.

You're right. We should all just give up and stick our heads in the sand.

Taken down by members who were probably trusted, at some point.

Speculation. I don't know anything about that community, their goals, views, politics, mindsets, intelligence, their members, their process, their trust, etc.

If anything, there are learning lessons, things to avoid, and reasons to try with improvements - not reasons to quit.

Edit: Looks like they need user levels and ways to filter them. I've already described my levels idea. I'm drafting up the filters idea.
