Yes they track IP addresses. I got a 3 day ban evasion ban for using a second account on a sub that I got banned from. I think they only look at the IPs when they see content they don't like cause I have other accounts that I also post in banned subs but as long as I echo the correct words it hasn't been a problem.

Funny thing is, I commented on the most normie subs (r/pics, AskReddit, r/aww) and made the most normie-est comments possible, like praising the animals in aww, answering questions with normie humor on AskReddit. So I'm guessing it isn't the content, but the IP address range I was posting from that triggered auto permabans.

I've had those before. Now they just ban all my accounts on all my devices.
