I feel this so hard. I just want to be treated like the average person, I hate being instantly associated with the "LGBT community" and being referred to as LGBT. Not only for trans reasons but my god, I should be allowed to opt-in like any other fucking community. People who like playing poker aren't referred to as apart of the "card game community" or a "card gamer" without them saying they are. It's like people don't know how to treat us as individuals and assume we're some kind of LGBT++++++ hivemind. I'd be less annoyed if people assumed I was apart of the "lesbian community" because at least that's directly related to who I am.

Ugh, still, being associated with lesbianism now is awful because of the way my fellow Zoomers have managed to turn it into a quirky fashion trend (FLANNEL! LESBIAN JEANS! BEANIE!) and some kind of Briggs-Myers shit (All lesbians do x body language! All lesbians love x musician! You're not a lesbian if you don't like x food!) instead of the one thing that actually brings us together, being attracted to the same sex. That's not to say lesbians didn't have a culture before, it's just you weren't hit over the head with it in such an aggressive manner and variety in style and personality weren't uncommon among lesbians. The worst part about it is most Zoomer lesbians are either bisexual or straight. I'm so sick of it.

I also feel bad for heterosexual people who try to talk to me carefully as to not upset my woke sensibilities because Zoomers cry over any little mistake. It's even worse because I am mixed (but you wouldn't know by looking at me without my ethnic name) so now they have to worry about offending a woc™️ too. Just made me stop sharing those aspects of myself with other people.

Lol yeah, every normie expects you to suddenly become a raging wokie the second they learn that you're into chicks. Like dude, have you never talked to me before? Lmao

This is my biggest fear. I feel like I have to put this disclaimer on it and that feels aggressive and awkward. “But please don’t assume you know who I am and what I believe or care about because of that. I’d rather be judged as an individual on my own merits.”

Yeah it's such an awkward thing to communicate. I usually just bide my time and wait for a good opportunity to imply that I don't think highly of queer bullshit.
