    IDs as lesbian

If it was that easy to just change ID and that's it!

It is difficult for me to put into words, but lesbian just doesn't seem something that somebody can "identify as." I AM a lesbian, i don't IDENTIFY as one, it's not a costume to put on and take off (despite how many fake-ass lesbians are out there). It's not one of the 52 genders.

I am not sure if it is the right place for this topic - it should feel better in LGB Drop The T or GenderCritical.

However, "I love him, but I still see only butch lesbian, but I know he is a man, am I bisexual now and not lesbian?" - that's pretty cringy.

It’s shit like this that makes me feel like gender ideology is a Trojan horse to dismantle same-sex rights. How can being in a protected class be so flimsy and mutable and meaningless that if someone you are dating looks 100% like their biological sex but they adopt an opposite sex gender identity that that somehow overwrites YOUR sexual orientation. We all just end up pan or some bastardized definition of lesbian because everyone can be a lesbian if they are non-men who are attracted to at least one other non-man.

Do they not realize the result is that everyone is in the LGB+WTF social club then and that they’re no longer special because to be able to join it they had to destroy it.

    end up pan

Queer Theory is about meshing everything in one soup. So most likely it is the final plan.

That post was a master class in mental gymnastics by someone trying to talk themselves into something they aren’t sure about with a splash of “can’t do HRT” justification.

I see it as a butch lesbian that someone loves who is probably going to eventually destroy her body and romantic prospects because she can’t see what is in front of her face and doesn’t need to be a man to be happy, and another lesbian who is going to stop wanting to be with someone who hates herself. It’s so sad to see this happen. I’ve seen so many partners of ftm trying to cope and it never works.

And these are college students. They are so young!

You have a valid point. And it’s sad. It’s even more messed up that it happens a lot. I wasn’t accusing the person the post was about of doing mental gymnastics to try and justify a situation, but the person who posted it that seems to be creating a list of pros and cons about the situation they are debating entering.

Yeah, that’s exactly what happens, she is doing mental gymnastics to be okay with something that is not actually okay
