I worked for both the local LGBTI+ center in my city as my country's National Pride organization.

Will it be a low-paying job? Probably.

The harsh reality is that there are not a lot of LGB or lesbian focused organisations. That means that you will probably have to work for a queer or LGBTI+ organisation, because only LGB or lesbian is ''not inclusive enough'. This also means that you will be having LGBTI+ colleagues and from my own experience there are some great ones, but also some people who you'd rather never ever see in your life. I had a gay male co-worker who really was the biggest pain in the ass who seemed to think that life was one big giant episode of RuPaul's drag race.

What I'm saying is, prepare yourself. For the criticism of queer movements, for your collegues and for your own motivation.

OP, I think you will have luck focusing on LGB, or even just LG if you work with a religious institution who is affirming, but also has their values they want to uphold regarding sexuality and gender.

So I would suggest looking around at nearby churches, mosque, synagogues, etc and see if they have some chapter and/or if you could create a chapter and partner with them.

If you are backed by a religious entity regardless if you believe, you will be protected from crazy tras and lgbtacdefhijkmopqrstuvwxyz.

For instance, even though Reddit banned all the "anti-trans" subs, this did not include any of the religious subs.

If you do the following above, you could even get a gay male to focus on the gay males, you focus on the gay females, and if possible, partner with a trans group or person who is also religious and/or has the same values. That way you can focus on what you desire yet still provide resources and "inclusion" for those seeking other options.
