Oh, Japan... You do so good when it comes to being anti-woke/SJW, but so poorly in this and other topics. What about opposite sex marriages who don't want kids? Those who can't have kids? Are they not allowed to get married and have those other benefits too?

They're just conservative. I think most of us here can agree that the retarded parts of attempted "liberalism" which are classified as "woke/SJW" stuff are a scourge, but Japan is simply not a very liberal country. They don't oppose these concepts because of some complicated liberal analysis, they just oppose it because it's "liberal".

This is not conservatism. Using the state to forbid gay couples from getting a marriage license is flat out communism.
