They are correct. It's not even subtle, media and pride organisers themselves literally tell us they think there's too many cis gays at pride, making the poor she/theys feel unsafe with our privilege, or whatever.

I never went to pride, I wonder how many cis gays go. Maybe they are the the same "gays" that claim they would have sex with trans people because they are not genital fetishists.

I haven't been since they all started getting greedy with their ticket prices. So, aeons ago. The friends I have that still go are not listening to this stuff, they are just there to get laid.

Now here’s the question who will be blamed for those women of colour refusing to play at those events will it be A) “mediocre” white straight men B) white women C) J.K. Rowling D) the “Cissy” gays

viewable Nitter link for Twitter/X (are people actually calling it that? I've been living under a rock) thread: https://nitter.cz/judgejules75/status/1705900501525541342#m

I had no idea who these people were, but I appreciate them! Or two of them, anyway. Not sure if that's due to my pop culture ignorance or being 'Murican.

From the article:

Louise's publicist, Simon Jones, said: 'A message was sent to the team putting together the Eternal reunion stating that if it was to go ahead, neither Vernie nor Easther would perform at Pride shows or LGBTQ+ festivals.

'This was because the duo felt that the gay community was being hijacked by the trans community and they do not support this.

Good shit. It's heartening to know there may be more people aware of our community getting hijacked than we might realize.

The other one, Louise, seems invested in the virtue signaling route. Kinda wonder if her PR team requested this piece to try to protect her reputation, lol.

(I'm flairing this as positive because I think the raised awareness and article and article comments are LGB-supportive, but feel free to change it.)

Good. The radical inclusitivity is truly a cancer eating the whole community. Not just the LGB part. T and A as well. Words have no meanings - they are basically used like accessory to have. If someone says they're X, then they are X. If you see that someone is not X, you're a hateful bigot.

Good on them. Just hope that this doesn't lead to damn death and/or rape threats towards the girls (very ladylike™️).
