Hello, I am new here. I heard about this place from the comments section of an LGB youtube channel.

I am a G, and gen-x, so I guess an old G, (OG?) and I am very appreciative that these kinds of spaces are beginning to exist more and more. Thank you for being here, and one of the definitions of love is sharing each others' company without the need to say anything, so no pressure!

Welcome. You've come to the right place. We are one of the OG gathering spots for LGB people in response to the current madness. We started on Reddit some years ago and had over 22,000 members at the time Reddit decided to ban the (second "drop the T" sub; our mod / OP here can provide more background) for keeping it real in the summer of 2020, so we migrated here. A bit of history: https://web.archive.org/web/20200703213743/https://www.reddit.com/r/LGBDropTheT/

Hey, welcome! Just curious, what Youtube channel? I'm always looking for more LGB-positive social media channels :)

That is very thoughtfully said :) and I am very appreciative of this place, too. I joined this group on Saidit just after it was banned from Reddit, and participating here has really helped me feel like I am part of a community of other LGB people. I'm in Gen Z, and this place is my only experience being in an LGB-focused space, which feels pretty amazing (in contrast to the many LGBTQ+ spaces I've been in).
