Hello, I am new here. I heard about this place from the comments section of an LGB youtube channel.

I am a G, and gen-x, so I guess an old G, (OG?) and I am very appreciative that these kinds of spaces are beginning to exist more and more. Thank you for being here, and one of the definitions of love is sharing each others' company without the need to say anything, so no pressure!

Welcome. You've come to the right place. We are one of the OG gathering spots for LGB people in response to the current madness. We started on Reddit some years ago and had over 22,000 members at the time Reddit decided to ban the (second "drop the T" sub; our mod / OP here can provide more background) for keeping it real in the summer of 2020, so we migrated here. A bit of history: https://web.archive.org/web/20200703213743/https://www.reddit.com/r/LGBDropTheT/

Hey, welcome! Just curious, what Youtube channel? I'm always looking for more LGB-positive social media channels :)

That is very thoughtfully said :) and I am very appreciative of this place, too. I joined this group on Saidit just after it was banned from Reddit, and participating here has really helped me feel like I am part of a community of other LGB people. I'm in Gen Z, and this place is my only experience being in an LGB-focused space, which feels pretty amazing (in contrast to the many LGBTQ+ spaces I've been in).

I'm going to try to get the newly-opened sub going. It's hard though, I don't like talking about myself much. I'm drafting and re-drafting post ideas, lol

EDIT: I figured out some things to talk about. A couple real, a couple fluff, but it's something besides TRANS RIGHTS-TRANS RIGHTS-TRANS RIGHTS.

fluff is what I live for

That sub has two trans mods and one mod that's been suspended (probably LGB). It's a good object lesson in the fact that the one thing trans activists hate more than anything else is being told, "No." The idea that any space is not for them drives them insane with rage and the urge to retaliate. I presume we've all heard of the women's groups deliberately disrupted by trans women.

they should just call it transedit

"Preddit," as in "predditor," has been tossed around lately as well. This was in response to Reddit banning the word "groomer" if I remember correctly.

Also known as being pathologically narcissistic. The reason they act like small children is because that's how stunted they are.

How much of the TQMAP+ community's outward expression can be explained by the DSM-IV definitions of cluster-B axis personality disorders? Is it a public demonstration of a failure of mental health intervention? One of the big red flags of emotional immaturity is the inability to be told "no." Most people adjust their unwanted tactics to reach their goals, or re-evaluate their goals in relation to others, when told no, while disordered people can have breakdowns, undermining themselves.
