I cant understand how a gay man can do that to himself. For me it was painful enough to deal with a religious life. Waking up was hard enough. I can't imagine waking up after a medical transition.

I guess it will always be harder to accept yourself rather than looking for a quick fix. God will make me straight. Transition will make me normal. I just worry about all these kids waking up years from now and realizing what they have done to their bodies.

It seems gay people had a few good years but now it's over. From 80s old homophobia to the new 20s woke homophobia. Humanity always find new ways to make minorities suffer.

A lot of them believe, or get manipulated by counselors, therapists, psychologists, or psychiatrists into falsely believing via gaslighting that transitioning, taking hormones, getting partial and then full SRS will just magically solve all of their problems when it does not work this way.

I have met trans people who transitioned in their late 20s or 50s and they all said how 'deadnaming' and misgendering, are going to happen and how it takes time for other people to adjust to the new you after transitioning, and that transitioning will not make all of life's issues or problems, or mental health issues go away completely.

I am very glad I am from the end of Gen X, over 40 and that myself and my LGB friends were spared the forced transing conversion manipulation. I am very masculine, but my gay and bisexual male friends who are femme, queens, part time drag queens, or androgynous definately would have been told how they are trans, had to take hormones, had to have surgery, etc. I know that one gay friend would have done this as would have three androgynous bisexual men I am friends with.
