That's not how it works. That's not how anything works. There is no other label or category or group in pretty much all of existence that has only the requirement of liking the label to be a part of it. And pretty much no category would exclude you for no reason other than not liking the label.

There seems to have been a rise in people going "I'm not interested in sex or dating ....are you trying to say I'm not gay ?" .....I don't know what you are, but its not gay.

There is either a rise in asexuality, or people are more fucked up then they used to be.

I feel like some of the proclaimed asexuals or aromantics are socially awkward people, who just never dated or fucked despite having a desire for it. It's a key to point it out they have a desire for these because they often even say that they love to fantasy about dating or sex but as they say they don't want to see themselves involved in the acts or they even imagine themselves in such scenarios. Meanwhile I just have no desire whatsoever. I don’t care.

I think there is a raise of awareness there is such a thing as asexuality but alongside that you have a lot of socially awkward or traumatized people identifying as such. But they discover a bit later they aren't asexual.... or they water-down the term to the point it's mind-boggling, just to keep the queer label.
