I don't know what to think of it as of yet. I think Elon Musk is a horrible person with a lot of bootlickers and it's really going to depend on what his idea of "free speech" is.

This was exactly my reaction. I appreciate your concision, lol.

As a Tumblr user this is kind of upsetting because it means there's inevitably going to be another mass migration of extreme TRAs/SJWs from Twitter back to Tumblr. Which really really sucks. Tumblr still has a hardcore leftist/ TRA userbase but it was starting to mellow out somewhat after the porn ban caused so many SJWs to leave. So like Tumblr was just starting to get a bit more bearable and now all the insane TRAs who left will probably be coming back. God damn it.

Oh, wow, do you really think so? I've only used Tumblr as a lurking (searching the tags, for example, which I'm guessing most regular Tumblr users don't do, lol). I'm curious to see what sort of changes might happen over there.

You should check out the #twitter and #muskpocalypse tags on Tumblr. We're definitely already getting Twitter "refugees". I've already seen posts like "Hey, dusting off the old Tumblr blog after the Twitter takeover" and "Hey made an account here after escaping Twitter". There's also already been Tumblr loyalists making memes about how we need to drive back the Twitter "refugees"/"colonizers". There's definitely already been a migration of Twitter users to Tumblr, I'm just really hoping the porn ban will continue to deter a lot of them. And I hope the Tumblr staff stays strong in their conviction to keep a ban on porn and don't succumb to the screeching of new Twitter users to bring it back.

Thank you, will take a look!! Wow. I am really curious to see how this plays out. My first experiences of Tumblr were in 2019-2020, when I was curious about the LGBT community, knowing nothing about it, and encountered post after post saying some version of, "#kill terfs #choke a terf #girlcock is beautiful #commit suicide terfs" etc. Shocked me. Ironically, I probably never would've ventured to LGBDroptheT if it weren't for all those posts. But when I looked at Tumblr a few weeks ago again, it seemed like there were fewer of those posts. So I'm curious to see if it gets worse again with the Twitter migration.

Maybe r/TumblrInAction will actually start being about Tumblr again, lol.
