How obscenely homophobic to call homosexuality a sexual orientation. I wonder if anyone ever called out Lars von Trier for homophobia? All sexual orientation means is whether you are attracted to / have sex with people of the same-sex or opposite sex (or both sexes). Also, once again, smug, arrogant, conceited social provocateurs like Lars von Trier demonstrate how bourgeois, narrow-minded and ignorant they actually are.

Did you read the article "Gay Men do not have heterosexual oral sex" by Dennis Noel Kavanagh? He wrote very poignantly about how young gay men are being brainwashed by TRAs to believe that heterosexual sex acts are homosexual sex acts - which implies that there is something wrong with them if they are not open to heterosexual sex acts / an opposite sex partner / i.e. if they are not open to including heterosexuality in their dating they are ignorant, transphobic bigots.

Yes. The problem nowadays is we haven't even got to the point where people will simply leave you alone when you say you don't wanna have anything to do with someone. That minimal amount of decency is not even there yet. Progress my a**. Society didn't make the amazing progress it likes to pat itself on the back for. Same-sex attraction and Exclusive Same-sex attraction is still considered some mentally-ill deviancy. Sexual autonomy is not even a thing yet. And this is demonstrated by one of the most boundary-violating types I've seen yet. The common TRA, who makes it their life's goal to shove their openminded "ways" into every crevice of a person's life. Absolute control freaks(though I'm sure they hate to think of themselves that way).

It's no wonder that young gay men are still struggling with accepting their sexuality when people such as Lars von Trier and TRAs who portray themselves as liberal and progressive are actually just as homophobic as all the old fashioned homophobes.

They view homosexuality the same as the "gay is a choice" people. A paraphilia that is a 'good' thing, instead of paraphilia that is a 'bad' thing. But still seen as a paraphilia, with broken beings who should feel honoured to be figuratively poked and prodded by the nosiest(and usually sh**tiest) members of society and have no inherent rights or privacy of their own. To be used as mere accessories by people with "normal" sexualities as an ego boost. A kind of minority token if you will, to signal one's open-mindedness. Completely exploitive.

Anyway, his movie is pretty blah too. I didn't expect something called Nymphomaniac to be so ponderous. The only thing good about it is that math professor from Good Will Hunting stars in it.
