Yes, but I think you're forgetting some nuance here. So many of the polyamorous relationships I've seen are one (usually mentally-ill and/or just unattractive in both body and especially personality) straight woman with some form of trendy-quirky fashion sense in a dysfunctional relationship with several men that are just as weak-willed and unpleasant as she is. This phenomenon, that of unfaithful women attracting loser men, is also historically not uncommon or special, it was just less out-in-the-open, as it bloody well should be.

I’m not queer, so I don’t care if a bunch of idiots think they’re "more queer" than I am.

What bothers me is that gay and bisexual people are supposed to open up our spaces to these "queer" people and let these same people boss us around in our own spaces.

Does queer mean more entertaining in this comparison? 🤔 because two women or men in a same-sex, monogamous relationship is likely less entertaining (to listen to) than a straight woman having sex with multiple men. I find promiscuous women to be so fascinating. Perhaps because I was raised by a promiscuous mother and promiscuous aunt who were cheaters. They're in monogamous marriages now, but back in the day they were THOTS.

Being poly doesn't make you queer. Being not-straight or not-cis makes you queer.

Apparently being anything can make you queer. Queer is a way past appropriated, nebulous term now, whose meaning is frequently morphed on demand to suit the identity of any genderspecial who wants to use it on themselves. Fighting to preserve it's 'true' meaning is misguided, since that was a wholly unwanted usage assigned by bigots after they appropriated the term with originally a neutral meaning. That it's being appropriated again by those who can actually be considered 'strange' people, in order to use on themselves, is not necessarily that bad of a thing. In the best case scenario, the meaning should get so irreparably mutated that it would never be used on gay people in that way again and would fade into etymological history.

The comments are actually sane, I’m noticing this sub is starting to wake up from being “woke” on certain things. I’m sure they’re recruiting mods to ban the dissenters
