Yeah, that actually makes sense that they were appropriating yet another thing; Because their own explanation was bunk.

Something about how dinosaurs lived a long time ago, "like traaans!". And birds are essentially descendants of dinos, which are still around and ubiquitous. And therefore trans people living now = dinos. It's just another "we were always here!" type of mythology. Of course, the convoluted backstory of the emojis is made up anyway to spite/discredit the GC. So it's a myth on top of a myth..

But the straightforward explanation of feminists reacting to some woke politician calling them gasp dinosaurs for opposing gender ideology is a lot more believable.
