There's that video with posie parker where she is going strong until the host asks her if being gay is a choice, to try to "expose" her as a right wing bigot. Instead of staying on track she took a side trip trying to explain political lesbianism without mentioning it by name. She said she doesn't believe its a choice but people she trusts say they are so she believes them. Which just confuses most of the hetero audience she is talking to, as well as the host. In that sense, if you can identify as a lesbian as a straight woman, then yes, straight men are going to identify as lesbian. If you are bi choosing to be with women only, you are still bi.
