Basically the GSA which was popular for some time.

Funny side note. At a local university there were 2 groups. There was a university run "GLBT" center with a dedicated physical space on campus and a student run GSA which was "recognized" by the university but had no physical room or building.

At some point the guy who ran the GLBT center either quit or was fired or retired... Not exactly sure since this happened just prior to me being involved. Basically the university had no backup plan and the students were left to run everything with no guidance or supervision aside from 1 older guy who was a grad student RA who was left in charge. He had some undergrads as staff to run the center.

From my experience the situation was actually really good with good events and atmosphere but i know there were some questionable and inappropriate things happening after hours like they knew people were sleeping over in the center and possibly hooking up.

Their big issue was they had no way to deal with the administration or allocate funding etc, so the university hired some real staff. They brought in a bunch of candidates and allowed the students to interview and hire the person who would be their boss. Turns out that the person they chose completely misrepresented themselves during the interview and then made their lives miserable. All those undergrads had become attached to a scholarship based on working at the center and could not quit or they would have no money to pay for tuition.

The person that they hired ended up being the vanguard of this ultra woke performative ideology. The first thing they did was rename the "GLBT" center to the "LGBT" center then held an event to congratulate their great achievement. The person then put a kid in charge of the website and screamed at him nonstop because he had no ability to change the url to say "LGBT" even though the entire website said only that. Until I left the admin was constantly pissed and shit talking the GSA because they wanted to control it directly and could not stand that there was an alternative group on campus even though they had no money or power to do ANYTHING AT ALL aside from meet. The person was constantly heard saying in the open that he/she was going to win because those students would eventually graduate and the new batch wouldn't remember it existing the old way.
