LGBTQ+ politics aside. I was absolutely enraged and upset when I read this Today. Imagine having to sacrifice yourself just because you have a penis (Yes I know not all men, men with chronic diseases and disabilities can flee, but still it's most of men) and some imaginary shitty heroic fantasy that you have to defend your country.

It's so gross and what's weird is that nobody is talking about this unjust law. Either get rid of draft entirely or force women to participate too. Men should absolutely not be obligated to die alone just because of their gender, they have dreams, emotions and feelings too and have the right to be with their sisters, wives and daughters. This is sexist and gross.

You know how we have those big discussions regarding MtFs in women's sports? The biological differences between males and females? Yeah, those differences also apply to warfare. Women are free to stay and join the army if they want to.

They shouldn't be "free to stay and join the army if they want to" If men HAVE to die then women have to do the same, it shouldn't be their choice. Equality. And women can definitely fight in the military.

No excuse whatsoever. This is blatant gross sexism. Men didn't choose to be men and a 60 year old man isn't more capable than a 20 year old woman and many men are weak yet they are forced to fight. This isn't a women's sports competition, this is a war. Norway has equal draft for equal genders and they are all fine with it.

It's the power differential. Men are in charge of Ukraine. It can't really be claimed that they are the victims when they enthusiastically participate in a sexist patriarchy.
